Please check individual attraction pages for the latest information, call the Royal Windsor Information Centre on +44 01753 743900 or pop in and speak to them in Windsor Guildhall (they are open Wednesday to Sunday) for some helpful advice from people who know the area. You can pick up a free A4 map too to help you get your bearings.

Discover Windsor Castle with a self-guided audio guide. With so much on offer we suggest that you allow 2½ to 3 hours for your visit.

Have lunch in one of the many restaurants or pubs in Windsor.
2PM-4PM
Explore the rest of Windsor and Eton with the Golden Tours Hop-on Hop-off tour of Windsor. The tour take around 45 minutes but as they are hop on, hop off you can get off the bus if you spot something you fancy at one of the stops on the way. You could also take a 40-minute boat ride on the River Thames with French Brothers Boats. Tickets for tours are available from the Information Centre or can be booked online.
4PM-6PM
Relax at the end of a busy day with afternoon tea and maybe a spot of shopping in Windsor town centre and in the pedestrianised areas of Windsor Yards and Windsor Royal Shopping.
EVENING
Why not extend your trip into the evening with dinner at one of the many town centre restaurants or a production at the Theatre Royal?
MORNING
Start the day with breakfast in one of Windsor’s many lovely eateries then walk on the Long Walk (access via Park Street) or enjoy a short stroll on the cobbled streets around the Guildhall and on Castle Hill. Watch the Changing of the Guard at 10.45am but remember to confirm march times with the Royal Windsor Information Centre as they vary throughout the year.
12PM-4PM
Discover the beautiful Savill Garden, part of Windsor Great Park. With over 35 acres of trees and shrubbery, ponds and streams and flowers, The Savill Garden is an incredible visit at any time of year. Grab lunch, afternoon tea or both in The Savill Garden Kitchen in the garden’s visitor centre and visit the gift shop before heading back to Windsor.
5:15PM
End your visit to Windsor where it began with Evensong at St George`s Chapel in Windsor Castle. It’s one of the most beautiful ecclesiastical buildings in England and the burial place of 11 monarchs including Queen Elizabeth II and Henry VIII.
