Dom Pipkin is considered one of the ‘local’ piano players in New Orleans. He is described by Blues in Britain magazine as ‘one of the world’s greatest exponents of New Orleans piano’.

Dom’s solo shows are loved throughout the world. His classical and sometimes rhapsodic influences are married with a tough approach to the blues and driving left hand rhythms. He delivers the most authentic and compelling take on this highly infectious and life affirming blend of blues, gospel, street and jazz that is uniquely New Orleans. He has a stellar list of international festivals, radio and TV appearances plus fans ranging from Jonathan Ross, Hugh Laurie, David Arnold and Jamie Cullum.

Dom regularly performs and records in New Orleans. He has shared stages with legends such as Allen Toussaint, Dr John and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. Grammy award winner Jon Cleary invites him to jam whenever he’s in town.

He also tours internationally as keyboard player to the British trip-hop group Morcheeba. He was Musical Director for Paloma Faith and has played for Paul Weller, Laura Mvula and Pee Wee Ellis to name a few.
