Genre spanning live music comes to Norden Farm’s Studio

Moscow Drug Club bring a heady mix of jazz, French musette, Latin grooves and New Orleans swing to Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Thursday 23 October at 8pm. Tickets are £20.

Combining their original material with songs by the likes of Jaques Brel, Tom Waits, Leonard Coheen and Eartha Kitt, the five piece band deliver an intoxicating and intimate musical experience you won’t soon forget!

The lineup features Katya Gorrie on vocals; one of the most in demand trumpet players on the scene Jonny Bruce; classically trained pianist accordionist and bandoneon player Mirek Salmonn; bassist Andy Crowdy; and jazz guitarist Andy Bowen.

Katya Gorrie was brought up in a theatre family and started working professionally at the age of 11. She toured with her parent’s company as a young actor and singer. Katya is trained in both classical and jazz vocals and has written, produced and recorded seven albums.

The band have played festivals including WOMAD, International Gypsy Guitar Festival, Trowbridge Pump Festival, Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival and many more. They have also played at venues including the National Theatre London, Le Quecumbar London, Sundial Theatre and Beehive Theatre.
