Children of all ages and their families have the perfect opportunity to try out something new this Easter with a full day of taster workshops. Explore Day is at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Friday 3 April (Good Friday) from 9.30am. Workshops are £5 per person or 4 workshops for £18 per person.
There are a range of workshops available for ages 5 - 7 years, 8 - 10 years, 11+ years, pre-school children and families. Workshops for specific age ranges are designed for children to attend on their own. Family Workshops are for children and grown ups to get creative together.
Highlights include Ceramic Animal Coil Pots where you can dive into the world of pottery. You will be guided in creating a whimsical animal cup sculpture employing a range of ceramic techniques.
The World of Comics with bestselling cartoonist and tutor James Parsons. Learn secret tricks to upgrade your drawing skills and expand your imagination.
There’s also Chocolate Egg and Lolly Making led by Rosie’s Chocolate Factory; Digital Animation led by Animation Expressions; Circus Skills with tightrope walking, giant ball walking, unicycling and juggling; and Exploring Sound - a hands-on interactive introduction to sound art.
Other workshops include Craft and Play and Movement and Music for pre-schoolers, Street Dance, Face Painting, Drama, Djembe Drumming, Special Effects Stage Makeup and Magic.
The Café Bar is open from 9am serving hot drinks, hot food, lunch and snacks. Free WiFi is available to keep the adults entertained. Plus children’s grab bag packed lunches can be pre-ordered online ahead of the day.
