The Malaysian pianist Hao Zi Yoh trained in Germany and London. She has won many prizes and awards around the world. She is particularly noted for the beauty of her playing.

Hao Zi Yoh has performed extensively in festivals around Europe, USA, China, Japan and Malaysia. At the age of 12, she was invited to perform at New York’s Carnegie Weill Recital Hall as gold medallist of the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition. Her composition, Bustling City and Peaceful Suburb was selected to represent Malaysia at the Yamaha APJOC concert 2007. She has performed in major concert halls including Southbank’s Royal Festival Hall. She has performed with orchestras such as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.

Hao Zi received piano education from Chong Lim Ng before moving to Germany at the age of 14 to study with Professor Elza Kolodin at the Hochschule fur Musik Freiburg. In 2014, she moved to London Royal Academy of Music for her Masters Degree.

Currently based in London, she continues her work as a concert pianist and a piano tutor both privately and at King’s College London.

Her programme includes perhaps Schumann’s greatest keyboard work, Chopin’s titanic Fourth Ballade, and Rachmaninov’s last solo keyboard work.
