Step into a magical winter world at Other Space Arts this November as Theatrix Arts brings Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale The Snow Queen to life through puppetry, storytelling, changing scenery, music and sound effects.
The Toy Maker is busy in his workshop making toys for the children when suddenly they come to life and begin to tell the story of The Snow Queen.
Follow Gerda as she sets out on an extraordinary adventure to rescue her brother Kai, who is being held prisoner by the Snow Queen in her icy palace. Along the way, meet the magical creatures who help Gerda on her mission.
Performed by Paul Batten of Theatrix Arts, this imaginative family production is created especially for children aged 4–12 and their families.
And the adventure doesn't end when the curtain comes down! After the performance, children can meet the puppets from the show before taking part in a puppet-making workshop, creating their very own character to take home.
Make an afternoon of it at OSA. Before the performance, our café will be serving a special children's lunch alongside a delicious plant-based festive menu.
