Have lunch in one of the many restaurants, cafes or pubs in Windsor.
2PM–4PM
Take a sightseeing tour on board a Golden Tours open top bus (45 minutes on the bus plus hop on-hop off stops in Windsor, Eton and Datchet).
EVENING
Dinner at one of the area's many restaurants – there's so much to choose from, whether you fancy traditional English food as well as Thai, Moroccan, South American, French and many others. Visit the Theatre Royal in Windsor to watch a play (many of their productions go to London's West End afterwards). Or check out Windsor's art centre: The Old Court. It's easy to get to London from Windsor; there are two train lines and one bus service connecting Windsor with London and it will take you no more than an hour to get there. Start the day with a short stroll around the Guildhall and Castle Hill – the oldest part of the town.

Watch the Guards and their marching band on their way into or out of Windsor Castle (check the Guard March schedule).
12:00 NOON–4:15PM
Only about 10 minutes' drive away from Windsor, The Savill Garden is part of Windsor Great Park. Enjoy lunch in The Savill Garden Kitchen located in the garden's Visitor Centre then take a stroll around the garden itself. Created in the 1930s for Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, its 35 acres of trees, shrubbery, flowers, ponds and streams and flowers offer year-round interest. After seeing the garden, head back to Windsor.
5:15PM –6:00PM
Evensong at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
44 miles/ 70km away from Windsor (1 – 1.5 hours by train). Join a guided walking tour which explores the heart of this historic city and the University, Christ Church College and Cathedral. Visit the 1000-year-old Oxford Castle, hire a punt from the boat house, take a relaxing walk in the botanical gardens. Climb the 14th-century tower of St. Martin’s Church and enjoy the view across the city.
93 miles/150 km away from Windsor (2 hours by train) see the finest Georgian city in Britain with over 5,000 listed buildings, museums, galleries, Jane Austen Centre, festivals and events. Take a bus or walking tour of the city centre, see the Roman Baths with the temple and bathing complex built around Britain’s only naturally hot springs. Have lunch at the Pump Room and drink the hot spa water.
