Rowan Williams was Archbishop of Canterbury and earlier Archbishop of Wales, before becoming Master of Magdalene College, Cambridge (2013-2020).
He completed his doctorate at Christ Church, Oxford, and Wadham College, Oxford, on the theologian Vladimir Lossky, and held academic and clerical posts in Cambridge and Oxford, including Lady Margaret Professor of Divinity and Fellow and Dean of Clare College, Cambridge. He later became Bishop of Monmouth and, in 2000, Archbishop of Wales.
A Fellow of the British Academy, poet, and translator, he has published widely on theology, history, and politics, and holds numerous honorary doctorates.
Rowan's latest book, Solidarity - The Work of Recognition, is released on 26 March and copies will be on sale at the Conversation.
Join us for thought-provoking discussions on the big issues of today
