Carriage tours start from outside The Savill Building at The Savill Gardens, TW20 0UJ.
The award-winning Savill Building is the main visitor centre for Windsor Great Park with cafe, shop plus all the visitor facilities and plenty of parking.
Ascot Carriages is a small family business and we’re fully insured to offer a personal and professional service including luxury carriages for weddings, film work and exclusive carriages to Royal Ascot.
Travel through the Windsor countryside away from traffic, and relax and unwind as you discover the area from the comfort of an elegant horse-drawn carriage.
Your carriage driver/guide can provide history and lesser-known facts about this beautiful royal park.
We operate all year round, between 11am and 4pm, on selected dates*.
Rides are weather permitting; please pay cash on the day.
You may reserve your special date up to three months in advance or call on the day (before 10am) to check we are operating.
Our 4/6 seat country carriage seats a maximum of four adults and two toddlers (aged 3 or under) or a combination (60 stone weight restriction applies).
Have a photo taken with our family-friendly carriage horse and our historic carriage which was previously used by the late Lieutenant-Colonel Sir John Miller, Her Majesty The Queen's Equerry and horsemaster for 26 years.
We have easy-rise steps, cosy lap rugs and umbrellas for your comfort!

1. Valentine’s Special (30 min) carriage ride with Grand Prix Rose £65 per carriage
2. Valentine’s Special with Champagne & Grand Prix Rose 45 min tour of Windsor Great Park stops by the lake for Champagne Toast.
3. Valentine’s Romantic Proposal carriage ride (60 mins) includes a stop by the 18th Century lakeside for you to take a short stroll to the Georgian Footbridge with diamond balustrade, a special spot for you to go on bended knee to ‘pop the question’ including Champagne & Grand Prix Rose £150.
Early booking recommended as trips are limited. Rides start from 10.30am. its weather permitting and therefore just pay on the day, we confirm all tours by text the day before once we know the weather forecast.
Rides start from The Savill Building at The Savill Garden, Wick Lane, Englefield Green, Surrey, TW20 0UJ, just 4 miles south of Windsor Castle, 1 mile from Englefield Green.
Just follow the tourist signs to The Savill Garden on A308 from Windsor, A30 from Bagshot or M25 Junction 13.
30-minute tour: £60 per carriage
1-hour tour: £120 per carriage.
1½-hour tour: £180 per carriage
60-minute tour: £120 or 90-minute tour £180
Bring your own picnic or order one from The Savill Garden Kitchen in The Savill Building (our carriage tours start right outside).
The carriage stops for 30 minutes (or longer if you wish) for you to picnic by the beautiful 18th-century lake called Cow Pond, enjoy wildlife and waterlilies in the heart of Windsor Great Park. Waterlilies flower here from May to September.
Enjoy a vintage tea in the Gallery Cafe at The Savill Garden and a carriage ride with Ascot Carriages.

What could be more romantic than travelling on an elegant horse-drawn carriage and stopping by a beautiful 18th-century lake?
We believe we have one of the best places in the country to propose, hidden away in the heart of Windsor Great Park.
Take a stroll to the Georgian footbridge with diamond-patterned balustrade and decking, the ideal place to go down on bended knee.
When you return to the carriage we’ll have champagne and glasses ready for a celebration toast and of course we can take photos with your camera.
