Celebrate 250 years of Jane Austen during your visit to The Castle this half term.
Whilst Jane Austen did not visit Windsor Castle, she was familiar with the area and referenced it in her writing. She did, however, she did visit London and was acquainted with the Prince Regent, later King George IV.
A highlight of the Royal Library’s extensive collection of English literature include the copy of Emma, which was presented by the author to the Prince Regent.
Children can enjoy Georgian themed crafting and make a memento to take home.
A Georgian trail is also available for children thought-out the week.
Entry to these activities is free with your admission ticket to Windsor Castle.
