About

Eton Town Council is delighted to invite residents, families, and visitors to the Eton May Day Fete, a major community celebration marking the 200th anniversary of the historic act that secured Lammas Land for the people of Eton and Eton Wick – The Glorious Majority.

This special occasion will also celebrate the opening of the newly refurbished Eton Pavilion and unveiling the new Lammas Land Boards.

Lammas Land has long been an important part of Eton's history. The act that protected this land ensured it would remain accessible for community use, recreation, and enjoyment for generations to come. This celebration recognises that legacy while looking ahead to the future.

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of attractions throughout the day, including:

  • Morris dancers and traditional entertainment
  • Punch and Judy shows
  • Children’s activities
  • Animal farm
  • Classic car displays
  • Fun dog competition
  • Live music and performances
  • Community stalls
  • Food and refreshments
