About

Windsor and Eton Living Advent Calendar

Now in its seventh successive season, this family favourite has become a must for locals in the town centre.

Based on an original idea from Stockholm, The Windsor and Eton Living Advent Calendar is a collaborative project run with Windsor, Eton and Ascot Town Partnership and 24 local businesses to provide live entertainment every evening from 1 to 24 December 2019.

Like a children’s advent calendar, a different window or door is opened every evening at 6:15pm promptly and a 15-minute performance is given to the audience assembled outside each participating business.

Every performance is kept secret until the day of the event, and some may include audience participation.  There will be Christmas nibbles, drinks and the spirit of Christmas to celebrate at each event.

Performances will range from songs, carols, music, poetry, book excerpts, creative arts, notes from local history or folklore, sketches and dance, all with a Christmas theme.

Each participating business will have their own event to run and In true advent calendar style the details of the of the actual performance will be kept secret and revealed on the day.

This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Christmas involving all the community and provide a great opportunity for local groups to engage with businesses in a different way.

We will soon have a flyer available that you can print out and bring along to be in for a chance of winning some surprise Christmas goodies.  Get it stamped at each event you attend and fill in the details overleaf. The more stamps you get, the better chance you have of winning a prize!
