**Please note, Dr Choc's Windsor Chocolate Factory has now closed**
Dr Choc's Windsor Chocolate Factory offers chocolate lovers the opportunity to design their own chocolate with organic ingredients and ethically sourced chocolate. Our expert chocolatiers help you make three bars of chocolate and decorate them with various toppings and infuse them with essential oils and spices. In our longer in-depth workshops, you will also dip truffles and candied fruits in chocolate and make hot chocolate on sticks. You'll also be taught the art of making bon bons. We are open 7 days a week, 11am-5pm for workshops.
The chocolate takes about 30 minutes to set and pack. While you wait, why not enjoy a coffee, homemade waffle, cake or ice cream in our cafe.
We are extremely happy and proud to share the amazing news that we’ve been awarded Silver in the Experience of the Year category at the 2022/23 Beautiful South Tourism Awards. Let’s celebrate by making and eating more chocolate! Come to see the trophy and experience our chocolate.
We also have a cafeteria service with various styles of coffee and tea. The perfect balance of creamy textured milk combined with a rich and intensely bold espresso. Our Hot Chocolate is the best in town as it’s made with our own organic chocolate couvertures. We also have a selection of cakes and cookies to go with your coffee and hot chocolate.

We offer you a different celebration where you can watch chocolate being made and taste our freshly-made chocolate. Look out for special chocolate-making workshops throughout the year for Mother's Day, Easter, Christmas, etc.
In this speedy workshop each participant will pour their choice of chocolate into a mould of their own and then decorate with around 30 different toppings including fruits, nuts, seeds and much more, creating three large bars of chocolate to take away with them.
Ideal for an addition to your day in Windsor or something to keep the kids occupied. This workshop takes around 15 minutes to complete and then around 20 minutes to cool and package; make use of our cafe facilities while you are waiting or come back any time before the shop closes. Our express workshops run all day, every day, so pop in and make some delicious chocolate with us - no need to book!
This workshop requires a minimum of two participants.
In this more in depth workshop you will make & take home:
3 bars decorated with toppings & try out marbling
Dipped caramelised fruit in chocolate of your choice
Dipped chocolate truffles, Hot chocolate on a stick.
Your chocolate will take around 15/20 minutes to set and package. So while you wait you can enjoy a yummy drink and cake in our cafe upstairs, explore our chocolate shop or head into Royal Windsor and pick your chocolates up later that day.
This workshop requires a minimum of two participants.
You will get a real taste of what it is like to be a chocolatier in this fun-packed introduction to chocolate making. Not only will you get to taste our chocolates, you will also be hands on and fully involved in making lots of goodies that you get to take away with you.
To kick off we will taste our ethically sourced organic, palm-oil free chocolates to discover which is your favourite. From there we will start by making the shells for our bon bons. Whilst our bonbon shells are cooling we will move on to making three large chocolate bars in which the participant can decorate with around 30 toppings. Within this workshop we have time to explore some creativity and intricate chocolate techniques such as marbling and half & half bars. Next we return to our bon bons and very delicately pipe our fillings and cap the chocolates before returning them back to the freezer for their final cool. Then we move on to the dipping part of the session and begin with handmade truffles and then glazed fruits, dipping into a chocolate of your choice. We then turn to the final part of the session: demolding the bon bons. There is also a little surprise for the leftover chocolate but you’ll have to come and give it a go to find out what it is!
Workshops are ideal if you are spending a little longer in Windsor, if it's a rainy day or to celebrate a special occasion. Our Chocolatier Workshop runs every day, but we need a little notice so make sure to book ahead of time. This workshop takes up to an hour and includes a bag of goodies to take away with you within 20 minutes; make use of our cafe facilities while you are waiting or come back any time before the shop closes.
Enjoy a Crown & Jewels Chocolate Making Workshop at Dr Choc’s Windsor Chocolate Factory.
You will get hands-on making your own chocolate as the 30-minute workshop introduces you to a variety of tantalising types. Suitable for all ages and abilities, you’ll create three pyramid bars with milk and dark chocolate infused with cinnamon and orange oil in an exclusive diamond cut design, inspired by the British Crown Jewels.
This workshop will also see you paint the chocolate moulds with edible colours, make six piped praline crown-shaped bon bons and eat a special scoop of any of our delicious homemade ice cream in our beautiful garden.
What's included?
• Create three pyramid bars in an exclusive diamond-cut design
• Paint the chocolate moulds with edible colours
• Make six piped praline crown shaped bon bons
• Eat a special scoop of home-made ice cream
It's a unique activity for couples to experience chocolate making and play with edible colours and flavours. You learn many chocolatier skills like marbling, tempering, shelling etc.
To start with, you'll be shown the technique of bonbon making. You'll first create the shell of the bon bon. While this is setting, you’ll move on to painting some heart-shaped moulds with edible colourful cacao butter. Once those have set, you will pour organic liquid chocolate from our tempering machines into moulds and decorate them with over 25 different toppings, essential oils and spices.
You will then move on to a lesson on manually tempering chocolate and making a heart-shaped bark, which you will again top up with decorations. You will then pipe your bon bons with caramel and finish with another layer of chocolate.
Finally, you will break the bark into smaller chocolate pieces which you can enjoy with a Prosecco, hot drink or special hot chocolate with gin.
