Fellow Pynins

About

Whimsically woven folk direct from the US and live in Maidenhead

Fellow Pynins is a tender duo weaving banjo, guitar, mandolin and bouzouki beneath lilting vocal harmonies. They perform at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Thursday 2 August at 8pm. Tickets are £14.

An American duo created from years of travelling, farming, childrearing and touring with their six piece folk orchestra. After the folk orchestra Patchy Sanders disbanded, they began to craft their whimsically woven folk tales as a family duo.

Fellow Pynins’ songs tell of stories old, dreams of death, frolicking through pastures of sheep, and entering the chasms of the human experience. The duo’s repertoire consists of original songs and traditional European ballads collected during their travels. Ian and Dani wield Clawhammer banjo, bouzouki, mandolin and guitar. They pour their hearts into the sounds of their whimsically woven folk tales.

Their debut album Hunter and the Hunted was released in Spring 2016. Later that year they toured Europe for nine months collecting and writing songs. Since then, they have been playing their music across the USA and Europe.

This summer they are performing at the Wilderness Festival, the Cambridge Folk Festival and the Omagh Bluegrass Festival as well as other venues across the UK and Ireland. Their live performances are intimate, woven with stories, laughs, and presence. They thrive on audience participation.

Join us for the first performance in Fellow Pynins’ tour of the UK and Ireland.
