About

Heritage tours of Eton College are available on Friday afternoons between 5 April and 30 August 2019.

All tours are led by guides and focus on the historic heart of Eton College; tours include many of the Foundation buildings and objects from the College Collections.

On a heritage tour of Eton College, visitors will see School Yard, College Chapel, Upper School, Lower School and the Museum of Eton Life.

Temporary exhibitions mounted by the College Collections take place in The Verey Gallery and, when available, a special viewing will also be included in the Eton College tour.

Tours take place at 2pm and 4pm on Friday afternoons and last 90 minutes.

Eton College scheduled heritage tours are suitable for individuals and small groups of up to six people.  Eton College regrets that larger groups cannot be accommodated.

Tour places can be reserved by booking online in advance.  On Friday afternoons, any available spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis at the Tours booth in Brewhouse Yard (accessed via Baldwin’s Shore, off Eton High Street).

Admission: £10 per person (plus booking fee). Under 16s in family groups are free of charge (tours not suitable for children under 7 years old*). Half price for RBWM yellow advantage card (resident) holders (you will need to present your card on arrival; without the card you will be required to pay the full ticket fee).

Security searches will be in operation before tours begin. No visitor with a large bag can be admitted.

Please note that in this historic environment there are steps, uneven walkways and narrow passages. Please also note that we are a working school and tours may sometimes be subject to change.

*The content and pace of the tour is aimed at children aged 7+ and adults, and will not be suitable for younger children. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and are the responsibility of their parent/carer for the duration of the tour.

In addition to public tours, Eton College’s three museums are open to the public on Sunday afternoons.
