Windsor Theatre Guild (WTG) presents Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, a thought-provoking thriller that will haunt your dreams for days to come.
Mary Shelley at just 18 years old dreamt up a monster whose tragic story has captured the imaginations of generations. A young scientist by the name of Frankenstein breathes life into a gruesome body. Banished into an indifferent world, Frankenstein's creature desperately seeks out his true identity, but the agony of rejection and a broken promise push him into darkness. Dangerous and vengeful, the creature threatens to obliterate Frankenstein and everyone he loves in a ferocious and bloodthirsty hunt for his creator.
Rona Munro's adaptation places Mary Shelley at the heart of the action, showing her as a gifted and courageous young woman, breaking the social and cultural rules of the time.
WTG's version, directed by Anna Jones, takes a fresh look at this classic, adding a contemporary twist and original music score to its 1818 setting.
