About

The Royal Windsor Pub & Dining

The Royal Windsor offers artisan drinking and dining with spectacular views of Windsor Castle. Serving its Royal neighbours’ favourite tipples, there’s also a bright dining area overlooking the castle, specialising in freshly-made traditional British dishes.  The Royal Windsor has served Royals and residents alike for many years and boasts one of the biggest beer gardens in the historic town.

Specialising in handmade liquor and premium craft beers, including a house-brewed Royal Windsor Pint, this open and relaxed bar and kitchen serves the finest food in Windsor in an unrivalled environment.

Drinkers can enjoy exotic cocktails - created using house-infused spirits - in the vibrant and lively bar, and diners can relax in the adjoining restaurant. There is a function room which is frequently used to host weddings and celebrations, and the impressive outside area boasts a bar of its own serving Pimms and Royal pints throughout the summer.

The venue hosts regular quiz nights and live music performances, and a DJ plays into the early hours every Friday and Saturday night.

From long lunches and lazy brunches to romantic meals and business deals, The Royal Windsor is a venue for all occasions.

Where is the Royal Windsor?

The Royal Windsor is directly opposite Windsor & Eton Riverside Station in the shadows of Windsor Castle. If you’re walking from Windsor town, simply turn right at the bottom of Thames Street and the venue is on your right. There are plenty of pay-and-display car parks in central Windsor and the pub/restaurant is not far from any of them.

When is the Royal Windsor open?

The Royal Windsor is open for coffee or drinks from 11am until late, 7 days a week, and food is served from 12 noon until 10pm.

What's on the menu at the Royal Windsor?

Freshly cooked traditional British dishes and a selection of innovative takes on Royal favourites.

Try the Royal Windsor Burger served with homemade ‘slaw and fries, or the incredible seafood linguine. A selection of freshly-cooked flatbreads are available all day as well as a tempting menu of bar snacks including macaroni cheese balls and lightly battered whitebait.  Delicious vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free dishes are all available too. Desserts include homemade Tiramisu, an incredible Eton Mess and homemade peanut butter chocolate brownies.

Drinks at the Royal Windsor

The pièce de résistance at The Royal Windsor is the incredible cocktail menu. From classics such as Cosmopolitans and Mojitos to unique creations including the Royal Windsor Bellini and the Passionfruitini, there’s also a 2-4-1 cocktail Happy Hour daily from 4-7pm Sunday to Thursday and 8-10pm Friday and Saturday.

The Royal Windsor is a dog-friendly pub so friendly four-legged friends on a lead can enjoy a bowl of water on the house in the public bar or beer garden.

The Royal Windsor is super family friendly and offers a variety of Kids’ Meals as well as half portions of dishes found on the main menu. Highchairs are available and baby changing facilities can be found in the disabled toilet.

Quiz Night at the Royal Windsor

Come down to the Royal Windsor for Quiz Night, every Wednesday at 8pm. Entry is £2 per person and you can win £250!

Private Parties and Corporate Events

If you’re looking for a venue for weddings, private parties, dinners or receptions then The Royal Windsor is the perfect venue. The function room holds up to 100 people and full venue hire is also available.

A dedicated Events Manager can help you plan your event and you can even add your own additional touches such as bespoke menus, specially-created cocktails, decorations and entertainment. Even ice sculptures and chocolate fountains if the fancy takes you! The dining room overlooking the castle can be hired out privately and holds up to 60 people.
